Position -Manager Agriculture Product Sourcing 

Location-Nittabuwa

As a key member of the Supply Chain Team, you will be closely working with farmer communities and societies in order to meet agriculture raw material requirement for an undisturbed production process. A passion to meet farmer communities in various parts of the country in sourcing and transferring knowledge on best agricultural practices is a key attribute expected from the successful candidate. This position will be based in Wathupitiwela FIZ. Key job job functions; • Closely monitoring of demand, supply situation of agricultural raw materials & mainly coconuts and come up with requisite pricing, stocking strategies. Develop and regular interaction with out-grower farmer network. • Advise and assist farmer communities in supplying agriculture raw material as per company standards and international certification requirements. • Regularly visit estates, farmers, suppliers in order to inspect hygienic standards and best practices and maintain accurate inventory reports. • Work in coordination with all stakeholders in procurement, manufacturing and logistics. The ideal candidate should have the following prerequisites; A Degree or Diploma in Agriculture/Supply Chain Management. Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Manager/ Assistant Manager. Wider exposure to agricultural product sourcing systems and practices. • Willingness to travel at frequent intervals.
